GIVING FARMING A FUTURE BY USING SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES TO GROW RESIDUE FREE PRODUCE

With a planet-first and people-centric approach, FarmChakra enables modern sustainable farming for a better world.

1. Sustainable Practices

We use the best of science and on-ground farming experience to increase the value per acre by enhancing yields and growing premium produce.

Our primary focus in on nourishing soil health to create living soils.

Nourishing Soil Health

Organic Carbon Content in top soils

Years of monocropping, burning crop residue, using broad spectrum pesticides etc. have seriously depleted the carbon in our fields. Carbon plays a very important role in improving absorption of nutrients from fertilizers. Higher carbon content in soils helps retain more water in the soil reducing water consumption.

Improves Yield

Microbes in the soil help improve the absorption of nutrients and enhance plant growth.

Offsets Carbon Emissions

Carbon in the atmosphere can be sequestered into the soil by increasing carbon content in top soils. <Read More>

How do we build living soils?

By putting all the blocks of the jigsaw together we are able to fully release the potential of our fertile living soils.

1. Green Manure

Cover crops like Jilugu are mulched into the soil between cropping seasons. Cover crops prevent the organic content in the soil from volatizing in the hot summers as well as condition the soil for the future crop.

3. Bio Solution

Our proprietary bio solution seeds the soil with good bacteria and provides the plants micronutrients to enhance growth.

GoMantra Unit, Nizamabad. We use animal waste and food waste to make our bio-solution.

2. Granules of City Compost

We use organic manure that is prepared by decomposing organic waste from cities. We not only take waste out of the system but utilize it to improve soil carbon content.

4. Mulching Stubble

We avoid burning stubble wherever we can— we use equipment to mulch the stubble into the soil to provide microbes nutrition during the lean months.
